I bought my daughter an ipod touch 4g, used, and am wondering if there is tips to keeping the charge last longer? i also bought my son a 2g, used, and the charge lasts but it gets hot quickly. it shows battery low when this happens, but if you exit out and restart an app it goes back to full. it 's not in the sun, or being used for long t create the heat. what might be the problem and/ or fix?any tools, apps, suggestions appreciated!no need to tell me i bought something that wasn 't worth it. it was worth it, they were both way cheap and my 6 and 4 year old only got them because i don 't want to share my ipad anymore :)thanks! Ipod Configure Screen, How To Configure From Pc Due To Bad Lcd?
Okay, this is the screen i am talking about: mcelhearn.com/ wordpress/ wp-content/ uploads/ photo5.pngmy ipod: a 2g ipod touch. the question: how can i configure this from windows or an alternate method. the details: looking at that screen picture my ipod will only work for a few milliseconds on the first 1cm of the whole left side of the ipod, that is, it will not work from the top to bottom first 1cm from left to right. this means that in the main menu i have troubles pressing the buttons mail, youtube, voice memos, settings and music, typing i can 't use the left letters.okay, but it works for a few milliseconds every now and then after i hold it for 5 to 10 seconds, and i mostly use this for music.when listening to music i like to sort by artist and the problem is that i have artist at the far left, so its hard to go back to the artist screen. i can 't drag it more to the right because the panel only works a few milliseconds in a 5-10 second spam. the only way to fix this is to do it from windows or something else. give me a hint on what i can do. note: i just changed the lcd and the screen cover + bezel so this is not the problem and its a motherboard issue as i see it, which i will not replace. thanks in advance. My ipod works fine when it is charged but whenever i try to charge it i have to have it plugged in and then shut it off. i have windows 7 and the latest itunes (10.whatever). when i try to connect it via usb (new cable and multiple ports) a message pops up on the screen of the computer (usb device could not be recognized the device reported a malfunction... blah blah blah) the ipod won 't charge and it does not show up in itunes or windows explorer. i 've tried restarting it, dfu mode, and anything else i could find. i have also tested it on other computers with the same result and i have tested my other ipod touch 2nd gen 8 gb and it works fine. i have recently lost all the music associated with my itunes do to a virus (damn them) and cannot replace it do to my own reasons. i have fixed the computer and the virus is no longer relevant. so if anyone out there knows what to do please help! "it 's just a white screen and i can 't turn it off or anything well i have no idea where to even start, when i use the scroll wheel i hear the noise but can 't obviously navigate the menus without seeing them, haha.any ideas? i 've seen many forums about the "white screen of dooooom " and shit but no real help. i 'm open to suggestions.
